Lolo Beatrice Nwaogbo Ekechi (Nee Onuoha of Umuowa). She was aged 95. The late Beatrice Ekechi was the mother of the business guru and visionary politician, High Chief (Dr) T. O. E. Ekechi, Ugo Eji Ejemba Ngor Okpala, and who also doubles as the Araba of Temidire, Ekiti.
A woman of honour and integrity, the late matriarch of the Ekechi Dynasty of Imerienwe , Ngor Okpala contributed immensely to the training and education of not just her children but the wards of her immediate community.
It was therefore not surprising that her son, HRH Eze Augustine Uwadiegwu Ekechi, is the traditional ruler of the autonomous community as the Ijenwe II of Imerienwe.
“As we plan towards her interment in our country home, Imerienwe, on January 03, 2026, we request you, our dear friends and associates, to remember us in your prayers.
“It is our hope that you will set aside the date as a day to honour us with your esteemed presence as we gather in Thanksgiving to celebrate our beloved mother’s transition”, T.O.E. Ekechi who was a federal commissioner NEDC as well as information commissioner in the state, enthused when Newspoint newspapers had a chat with him.
